Good and Bad. Old and Bond

Do you ever get sad that celebrities get old? I confess that I almost cry when I see current pictures of my favorite older celebrities.

For example, JM practically forced me (i.e. put the DVD in the player) to watch several episodes of The Saint a few months ago. Roger Moore is his favorite actor, and I must admit that I started to grow fond of the show and of the dashing Simon Templar. So of course, I looked him up on IMDB, which I usually do when I find actors/movies that I like. But...
he got old. He doesn't look so dashing anymore. Just... old. With old man glasses. (I'm sure he is still very dashing. I heard him in an interview and he was very clever.) It makes me sad.

On the other hand, there are some people that age beautifully. Sean Connery is a beautiful old man, and I don't feel sad when I look at him. I think he looks better now than he did in his forties.

See? Young Sean Connery? Eh...

Older Sean Connery? In a kilt? HELLO!!

I think this is all about my fear of aging badly. I am desperate to look 25 forever.

It's GOING TO HAPPEN.

I'm getting to that point in my life where I am starting to worry about looking old...after years of just wanting to look older. I kinda hate it. I want to age beautifully like Betty White. I think she looks so glamorous.

And, can I make a request? If you go private, will you make a pre-blog, where you just post that you've posted, and then I can see that you've posted on my reader, then link to your blog. I have a friend that did that when she went private, and now I still read her blog, because if they don't come up on my reader, I always forget to check them. Does any of that make sense?

That's a good idea, Kira. I always forget to check private blogs, too. If I eventually go the private route, I'll totally make a pre-blog!

Over the past few months, I have become resigned to the fact that I'm wrinkling. I'm only 26, for crying out loud, but I see some wrinkles.

I'm going to look like Betty White when I'm 40.
