Really?

Has it really been since January since I've updated this blog? And was my last post really about freaking Jack Frost?

I am hanging my head in shame. The problem is this...  I don't have ANYTHING exciting going on in my life, and I guess that leaves me with not much to say.

But, I will update what has been going on, for posterity's sake. This will be short, I promise. Maybe...

Firstly, I have been working very hard at losing weight. I really didn't want to talk about it much on the blog, because once people know you've been trying to lose weight, they give you extra long looks at the stomach and hip areas and wondering what the hell you've been actually doing. BUT, I have managed to lose 35 pounds since April. It's not so easy to see, because I'm so tall, all the fatness is more stretched out all over. (That does not a pretty picture make.) It has not been easy and I still have a lot more to go, but I feel better and I guess that's what really matters.

Secondly, I made my annual venture to visit the family. I was without consistent internet for much of the trip so I didn't get to email people to get together like I had hoped to. Also, remember how I'm afraid of the phone? When I have to call someone not in my immediate family, I get all nervous and sweaty. It's embarrassing.

Hannah is so patient!
Anyways, back to my family visit. It's so good to spend time with my sisters. I love and miss them so much! Oh, a cute story... Crystal was nice enough to drive me around all the time, and once we stopped to get Slurpees. Crystal waited in the car, while I ran in with Logan and Julia. I said something to Crystal before getting out and as we were walking Julia looked at me and said ", Why are you guys so nice to each other?"  "Me and your mom? Well, she's my sister and we have lots of fun together." "Oh. Well, me and Logan don't get along at all..." It's funny how you fight and scream and claw each other when you're younger, and end up enjoying each other's company when you get older and don't have to share a room.

Jelly is clueless.
I spent half of my visit in Spanish fork, and half of it in Salt Lake. When I was in Salt Lake, I spent a lot of time with my Dad, Kathy and their great dane, Lily. We went on a lot of Slurpee runs, did a lot of yard work, and had a lot of fun talking and visiting. I stayed with Crystal in Salt Lake, and we always have fun playing with the kids, cats and their new dog, Jelly.

When I was in Spanish Fork, I stayed with my Mom. We gardened, cleaned, shopped, ate healthy foods, and I got to play with my two favorite kitties, Cali and Shadow. I also got to see a lot of Katrina and her kids. We went to the splash pad a couple of times, and the kids had so much fun playing in the water.
I miss the kitties!

My grandad came to visit while I was there! It was so good to see him and all the other family that came up for my cousin's baby blessing. And here's a couple of other random pics thrown in there!

Wow, that was a long "secondly." I guess, thirdly, I am loving summer even with all the humidity and sweatiness. I am dreading winter and trying to soak up as much sun as possible. J and I have been walking everywhere and eating a lot of frozen yogurt. I have been spending time baking (and trying not to eat the goods) and wasting time on Pinterest. I'm sure a lot of other things have happened in the past six months, but maybe I'll think of them and do another post someday.

I have seriously thought a million times that you looked skinny! You look fabulous! Congrats on the 35! That is huge! (Whenever I lose weight, I like to imagine each pound as a box of butter off of my body, so I can visualize just what an accomplishment it is.)

You posted! YAY! It was like 7 weeks ago, but I'm slow...

Glad to hear things are going well.
